Cisco and IVT partner

Cisco is taking advantage of its in-house streaming experts and years its put in to building its own internal streaming network to create its Business Video Solution for enterprise customers. The “solution” combines Cisco’s hardware and software for content delivery and Internet Video Technologies’ (IVT) MediaPlatform 3.0 with the best practices Cisco has come up with in its own experiences. Why the bundling? Cisco says customers have been coming them more wanting to learn how they do their internal streaming, something John Chambers brags about in keynotes and public appearances.

The partnership between IVT and Cisco though is just that, a partnership. Neither company is selling the other’s product, just recommending them to potential customers.
