VCON updates SecureConnect

Version 2.0 of VCON’s SecureConnect firewall/NAT traversal was unveiled today. The new version features support for HD DualStream, which allows both video and data (i.e slides, app sharing), and the ability for administrators to limit the amount of bandwidth dedicated to a SecureConnect connection. Another bandwidth saving feature is the ability to extend IP Multicast outside the local domain. Local multicast traffic can be converted to unicast for delivery over the WAN and back into multicast at the far end for distribution to local desktops. SecureConnect 2.0 will be available in Q2’04 and will be a free download for existing customers.
