Radvision and Sony have entered into an agreement that will have the latter reselling the Radvision’s gateways, gatekeepers and MCUs as part of Sony’s “Open Conferencing” initiative. This gives Sony the ability to compete with Polycom and Tandberg for customers that want both the endpoints and the networing in between from a single source (sort of, in this case.) For Radvision, in aligns them with one of the few endpoint-only companies left in the videoconferencing space. Tandberg, Polycom and VCON all have both endpoints and network offerings that fill out their product lines.
