Background noise from air conditioners, lighting or tape hiss can be a nightmare for those creating audio presentations (or video with audio – which most video has unless you’re the Silent Film type). BIAS is hoping to help with a new release of SoundSoap and SoundSoap Pro for Windows. Previously available only to Mac enthusiasts, SoundSoap comes with a number of tools to help eliminate background noise from audio, including crackle and popping noises. SoundSoap ($99) is aimed more at the beginner/intermedia, while Pro ($599) comes with a few more tweaks for the professional. I am hoping to get a copy to try since I am doing more tape conversions lately.
