Yesterday at MacWorld, I stopped by the iView Multimedia booth to take a look at its iView MediaPro 2 product, a very slick tool for organizing multimedia files on a Mac or Windows PC. Media Pro handles some 130 media types, including all the major image and video formats. The software can be used to physically move, rename and organize files or categorize them logically while keeping the physical location the same. Also, photo enthusiasts can quickly create HTML-based galleries of selected photos in just a few clicks. For those in to metadata, Media Pro support IPTC, EXIF and XMP for photo data, allowing you to edit the information and store it back in the original file for use in other applications. All this for about $200.
