A bit delayed on this one, but I’ve got a story in this week’s (9/20) issue of Network World looking at the question of whether or not IP videoconferencing is here. My premise (and that of our Bleeding Edge columnists) is that IP video has quietly arrived. Sure, it’s not the everyday tool of every desktop worker, but it’s got its place and the use is expanding. One other piece of recent news that help support this: The Polycom-Microsoft partnership that will tie Live Communication Server with Polycom’s video products. Microsoft getting behind video is big.
