Axis Communications will soon release a free software update for its AXIS 210 Network Camera, AXIS 211 Network Camera, AXIS 213 PTZ Network Camera, and the AXIS 241S/Q Video Servers that will enable the devices to deliver both MPEG-4 and M-JPEG (motion JPEG) streams simultaneously. Right now, most of the devices support both formats, they just can’t do high quality delivery of both at the same time. The software update is due out the first quarter of 2005.
