Cool news coming out of TiVo today. They’re launching a new trial download service that will let customers grab programming from the Independent Film Channel (IFC) via a broadband connection. Subscribers can get IFC’s “Hopeless Pictures”, “Greg The Bunny”, and “The Festival” before their August 19 premiere. Hopefully this is a prelude of things to come with Netflix. Just sent two movies back to them today via postal mail. It would be much better if my next two selections were downloading as a I type this.
