Spammers act fast

Wow do spammers jump on an e-mail address fast. I had a “virgin” GMail account that I only used for shuttling large files back and forth between work and home. Well, I decided to use it in an ad I posted on a local community forum. Within two days, I was getting Spam… bastards! Thankfully, GMail has done pretty well filtering the crap, including dumping a fraudulent message regarding my items for sale. Ironically, I just read a quote from Bill Gates that essentially said Spam would be eliminated in two years. Unfortunately, the quote is now two years old…
