Dan Payerle Barrera is Global Product Manager, Data Cable Testers, at IDEAL Networks where he manages product development, sales and marketing of the group’s network installation and maintenance test equipment.
Dan joined as a Product Manager of the Networks Test group in 2004, becoming Business Unit Manager of Networks Test at IDEAL Industries/IDEAL Networks in 2008.
He first began work in the LAN cabling industry with Wavetek in 1997 where he held several positions in the engineering, marketing and sales groups managing Wavetek’s line of LAN and fiber optic test & certification products.
He was the principal instructor for a Los Angeles-based technical training company creating curricula and conducting cabling installation and maintenance classes with customers in government, private and private sectors.
Dan enjoys public speaking and facilitation of technical presentations and hand-on training seminars for industry organizations such as BICSI, IBEW/NJATC and CEDIA.
Dan represents IDEAL at the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42 committee, developing the latest standards for copper and fiber optic cabling systems.
