Fear not, T-Mobile users, Samsung has not foresaken thee
Good news for T-Mobile Android fans — Samsung will upgrade (some of) your devices to Android 4.0 (“Ice Cream Sandwich”) after all!
Over the past few weeks, Samsung released a list of Android devices that were slated to receive ICS on Verizon, AT&T and Sprint, but none for T-Mobile. Today that changed as Samsung announced that the Samsung Galaxy S II, the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will all get Ice Cream Sandwich in the near future. Hooray!
Other devices that have been slated to get Android 4.0 include the Galaxy S II, Galaxy S II Skyrocket, Galaxy Note, Captivate Glide and Galaxy Tab 8.9 on AT&T; the Nexus S 4G and the Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch on Sprint; and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 7.7 on Verizon.
Sadly, Samsung has released no firm dates on when these devices will get the latest version of Android and the company is only pledging to make the upgrades “as quickly and smoothly as possible.”
