There's big growth afoot across the board in enterprise-class wireless LANs this year, with a few vertical markets leading the way. Upcoming Webinars on the hospitality and education markets will explore two of these in detail.
endif; ?>I’ve got two Webinars going live shortly, one covering wireless LANs in hospitality applications this Thursday (17 March) and one the following Tuesday (22 March) on WLANs in education. I recently spoke on the latter topic at Motorola’s Channel Partner Expo in Las Vegas, and interest in this segment is growing rapidly, powered by a huge set of obvious requirements as well as the broad, cost-effective availability of 802.11n-based products and systems. In both markets we’re seeing significant demand in terms of both upgrades from .11g as well as greenfield (new) installations. With 802.11n now established, there’s no real reason to wait any longer.
Anyway, my part of each program will cover market and technology drivers, and a bit of vision as to where the WLAN industry needs to go to serve specific needs in each market. Both of these events are sponsored by Motorola Solutions, and you’ll have a chance to hear about some of the interesting developments that the company is bringing to market. As you may have heard, Motorola has split in two and the WLAN group is feeling renewed energy in going after the rapidly-expanding WLAN space. You can sign up for the hospitality event here, and the education event here. Registration is, of course, free, and we’ve scheduled ample time for questions in both webinars.
I hope to see you there.
