Ever thought there could be a technology civil war?
Hello again and Welcome to Under the Hood with Scott Honeycutt Okay, Today I am going to give my opinion as to what would happen if, Microsoft and Cisco joined forces to rule the technology world. Yep, that’s what I said, join forces and become the only technologies to be used. WOW! Did I get your attention yet? Now we all know that Microsoft is the software giant and Cisco is the networking giant, so what would happen if they just said, “We are taking over” what would everyone say then? You would have utter chaos. You would have all the Linux/Unix folks going nuts; it would give the guy over at Apple another heart attack. But would it make it a little easier? Hmmm this sounds like I have totally lost my mind. I possibly have, but one thing I know is it would be great for users of Microsoft and Cisco products. Would it work? It seems most likely it wouldn’t even come close to happening. Now I know we have our Linux and Mac users but hey, you have one that is free and one that is way over priced. Since the desktops are much cheaper and in my opinion work much better than the others. It seems that if this were to take place with Microsoft and Cisco taking over, that would be great as far as I am concerned. If it was even mentioned though the fighting would start, you would have a technology civil war. You would have the Microsoft and Cisco guys fighting against the others. So, is it worth a fight? Maybe it is already done. I do think it would be an interesting time. So who would win…That I leave up to you. 😉
