Slim bluetooth keyboard with some cool features
Back in Sept I wrote about the Adesso WKB-30000 wireless keyboard. I was impressed by the idea of a compact keyboard that had a lot of functionality.
A few weeks ago Adesso reached out to me and asked if I would like to get a closer look at their next offering. It is another small form factor keyboard, but this one uses Blue Tooth technology. I’m talking about the Adesso WKB-4000BB .
What I enjoyed first off about the WKB-4000BB is the Bluetooth technology. This gives you the ability to place the keyboard further away without interferences. I also like that Adesso has gone with a touchpad in place of the trackball.
One of the cool features to this keyboard is the Bluetooth receiver; it is a USB plug-in device that allows you to connect the WKB-4000BB to computers without built in Bluetooth receivers. I also liked the magnetic holder for the Bluetooth receiver under the keyboard. I took the liberty of violently trying to shake it loose and it stood attached. The one thing I could not accomplish was attaching it to my old Windows Mobile 5 phone (it wasn’t meant for that function….but it would be cool).
Overall for a lightweight traveling keyboard with easy connectivity, silent keys and a really cool look try the Adesso WKB-4000BB. It retails for about $129, and don’t forget if you have a nice HDTV this is a cool way to sit back and work…it beats sitting in an office chair any day.
