NSF budget request: We’ll take a mere $7 billion please

With President Barack Obama proposing a $3.55 trillion budget today for Fiscal 2010, the NSF’s request for a $7 billion sliver seems downright modest. The NSF argues that a proposed $950 million increas over FY 2008’s funding. It argues that an increase is key to fueling new high paying science jobs that will help the country become safer and healthier and greener.
