Two Oracle veterans will take on new roles as the company undergoes its first Asia-Pacific leadership change in 15 years, it said Friday.
Derek Williams becomes chairman for Oracle Asia-Pacific and Japan. He joined the company in 1988 in the U.K. before moving to Singapore in 1991. He most recently served as Oracle’s executive vice president for Asia-Pacific and Japan.
Brian Mitchell succeeds Williams, with the title of senior vice president for Asia-Pacific, excluding Japan. Mitchell will oversee Oracle’s daily operations in the region. Mitchell joined the company in 1998, and served as managing director for Australia and New Zealand from 2000 to 2004.
Oracle now operates 67 offices in 29 countries across the region.
