* The ValueExpert IT Value-Chain Management Certification Course
This week IDC and Alinean plan to launch a course intended to help IT executives and business professionals make intelligent IT investments by gleaning maximum business value from everyone involved. The ValueExpert IT Value-Chain Management Certification Course gives executives a better sense of when, whether and how to spend on IT.
ROI consultancy Alinean and market research firm IDC (a sister company of Network World) developed the course to deliver actionable information on how to measure and communicate the business value of IT investments. The curriculum addresses business value measurement, identifying innovative IT investment opportunities, creating ROI and total cost of ownership analyses, and measuring and communicating the business value of IT investments pre- and post-deployment. You can find the complete course outline at https://www.alinean.com/VEcio_outline.asp
“Many IT executives still aren’t able to hold vendors accountable for ensuring that their technology solutions deliver the promised ROI,” says Randy Perry, IDC’s business value strategy practice leader. “This course will teach decision-makers how to effectively quantify, communicate and measure the actual business value derived from technology investments.”
Alinean and IDC kick off the first ITVM course on Thursday in Orlando, with courses offered in subsequent months in Orlando, New York and Boston. The program costs $3,000 per student with group pricing available, or $25,000 for an on-site course for up to 15 students. Participants will earn IDC/Alinean Certified ValueExpert accreditation.
