IWay Software last week announced a series of accelerator offerings to help government and public-sector organizations implement homeland security applications.
IWay Software now provides software to address four security issues: bioterrorism detection and response; transportation, border, and port security; secure information sharing; and international student tracking (SEVIS). The company says its new integration accelerators will decrease the amount of time it takes government agencies to deploy applications. The accelerators can also speed application response times and content delivery by securely sharing data between government information systems.
The company’s Integration Superhighway enables the exchange of information without compromising security, iWay says. Among the new accelerators are the Bioterrorism Response Suite, a product offering which collects and analyzes public-health data in different formats from disparate sources. Also new is the Integrated Justice Suite. This software helps government agencies integrate existing information systems and deliver information via Web interfaces and/or e-mail. The iWay Transportation Port and Border Security Suite use geographic information systems along with a Web-based system, which tracks and reports upon suspicious boats, submarines and the like. The SEVIS Compliance Suite will let higher education institutions access and report foreign student information in specified XML format to the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
