* The NPA seeks Awards for Professionalism entries by April 17

If you crave the spotlight or are just looking for some recognition amongst your peers, the Network Professional Association wants to hear from you. The organization is seeking entries for its second annual Awards for Professionalism, which will be presented in a few weeks at NetWorld+Interop in Las Vegas.

Hosted in conjunction with N+I, the NPA awards program honors individuals for outstanding achievements within the network industry. “The awards are consistent with the NPA mission of advancing the networking industry toward a profession – an international community of technically astute individuals that analyzes and solves networking challenges while promoting ethics and standards,” says Jim Belasco, NPA chairman of the board.

Categories include:

* Best Networking Professional – Career Achievement Award

* Most Innovative Networking Project or Implementation (five subcategories):

1. Corporate Fortune X

2. Corporate small business

3. Education

4. Government

5. Independent network contractor

However, you need to act quickly because the deadline is April 17. Go to www.npa.org/awards for entry guidelines and an application.

A panel of editorial and networking professionals and other experts will evaluate submissions and judge the contest. Names of the winners will be announced in a special ceremony at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29 in room N-235 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Winners will receive a personalized trophy.
