Google To Power Dot Mac

According to The Register Google is getting ready to power the Dot Mac Service from Apple. I signed up for DotMac a couple of years ago for the princely sum of $99 per year for a whopping 1GB of storage, enough to store one rotation of an iPod Shuffle or my collection of Paris Hilton Snaps. The concept of the service is superb offering Web storage, backup, chat and calender services etc etc. However this amount of space is woefully inadequate and I soon abandoned using it. Having high speed 100GB or more of online storage would make me go back to the service and as rumored I look forward to seeing an announcement at the Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference in San Francisco next week.
