Bot-herders for Ron Paul?

Questions were recently raised about an e-mail blast promoting presidential candidate Ron Paul. It was spam of the worst kind, complete with spoofed headers to mask its origin. It’s also illegal. There is no evidence to suggest that Paul’s campaign had any knowledge of the botnet-fueled blast. And the campaign is denying any involvement, suggesting to Wired that it all could have been the work of a “well-intentioned yet misguided supporter.” Not exactly the kind of “support” Paul – or any candidate – would like to have.
