VNCI buys WilTel Webcast unit

Videoconferencing equipment and service provider VNCI is buying WilTel’s Webcasting business for an undisclosed amount. VNCI, which makes video network equipment that runs over existing office phone lines, recently announced it was going to begin offering an IP service for connecting geographically dispersed offices. With the addition of WilTel, Webcast offerings may be the next step for the company.
