In the wall-to-wall coverage of war the one winner could be streaming media, according Forbes. Those benefitting the most could be the pay sites, such as Yahoo’s Platinum and RealNetworks’ SuperPass services. Real says it delivered a huge amount of streaming media during the first day of fighting in Iraq, with some 4.1 terabytes of data delivered. Real says news content was running at 5-times the normal viewership level.
