Super MP3 Recorder Pro 5.0 from Admire Soft is said to be able to convert any sound being played through a PC’s sound card into MP3. This means you can convert such compressed formats as Windows Media, Ogg Vorbis and Real into an MP3 file. (Technically, Real’s license claims you’re not supposed to convert from Real to XYZ format, but still…) The application also comes with an editor for slicing and dicing your captured files. Super MP3 Recorder is availble for Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP and is priced at $29.95. A full-duplex sound card is required.
