A new bill that challenges the RIAA’s subpoena campaign was introduced Tuesday by Senator Sam Brownback (R-Kansas). The jist of the bill claims that the subpeona power in outlined in the Digital Millenium Copyright Act (DMCA), and used by the RIAA to get ISPs to reveal the names of alleged file swappers, is illegal.
