MCI’s annual “Meetings in America” study shows that Web conferencing continues to grow. Of those responding, 74% had used Web conferencing in the past year, with 39% having done so for the first time. Among those not using it, 31% said they would probably do so within the next year. The continued upward trend of Web conferencing does not surprise me. It brings more interactivity to a phone call with less of the hassles of true videoconferencing. Anyone with a phone and browser can participate… it doesn’t get much easier than that. For more on the Meetings in America study, check out the executive white paper (PDF file).
