Need to keep your videoconference from prying (network) eyes? Polycom this week announced a couple options for the security conscious. First, Polycom is working with Titan Corporation to integrate its endpoints with Titan’s government-level encryption technology. For those that need security but are not of the NSA mold, is offering an embedded AES encryption product based on the H.235 version 3 standard. AES encryption is available with 128-bit key strength. The AES option is currently available for the VSX 7000 for $999. Support for the encryption standard is expected to be added to Polycom’s other products in the first half of 2004.
