Rick McConnell, vice president and general manager of Cisco’s Rich Media Communication division, had the anecdote of the day. He relayed a story about being in Singapore but having to conduct a staff meeting taking place in the Cisco home office in San Jose. Using his softphone, wireless and bluetooth headset, he was able to conduct a full Web conference from his rooms.The vendors always seem to have it easy with the technology. When I am traveling, I have trouble getting my Web-based e-mail from my hotel room.
