Sorenson will ship version 4.1 of its Squeeze compression utility later this quarter with new support for AAC Plus Audio compression. AAC Plus Audio is said to offer the same fidelity of AAC but at half the file size. Version 4.1 will be a free upgrade to 4.0 users when it ships. Also, Sorenson will begin offering a Windows Media plug-in for Mac users that will allow them to create Windows Media 9 files. It will be priced at $179.
