I caught up with the newest player in the videoconferencing space, LifeSize, at the Summit yesterday. For those that don’t know, LifeSize is creating video endpoints capable of delivery High-Definition video (1 million pixel resolution). The company is still on track to release its phone and room system later this quarter and its executive/desktop system near the end of the year. The other nugget is that there will be a new update to the company’s management software that will enable customers to control MCUs from Codian, Radvision and Polycom, with support for Tandberg coming out in a future release.
