Never sent one, never received one. So what is it about Western Union pulling the plug on its telegram service that has me sort of wistful (there’s no crying in journalism, of course). We’re all getting old, time’s passing us by, that sort of thing, I guess. Or maybe it’s really the dread of wondering what’s next to give up the ghost.
