Warsaw Finals
The 2010 Microsoft Imagine Cup competition has begun here in Warsaw, Poland! This is a technology competition for college students that started back in September 2009 with several rounds of qualifing rounds resulting in the final competiton here in Poland. We started with over 300,000 students from 130+ countries with the top 400 competitors here at the Finals.
This is my 6th year as Head Judge of the IT Competition, a competition where we started with a round of multiple choice questions, a round that required a 10-page essay, to the final competition where the finalists were given 24-continuous hours to physically build out a fully working Windows-based network (with Exchange email, SharePoint document libraries, SQL datawarehouses, etc).
The energy here is electric, for many of these competitors, winning or losing is the difference of this career changing event…
