Patches will fix holes in XP, Vista, Windows Server, Office
Microsoft plans to release six patches that address 15 vulnerabilities next week for its regularly scheduled Patch Tuesday, three of which are labeled critical and three, important. These patches fix holes in XP, Vista, Windows Server 2008 (all editions except R2), most recent versions of Office for both Macs and Windows.
Patch Tuesday is November 10. Microsoft says the patches, as well as more details about them, will be released at 10 a.m. Pacific, and will include Microsoft’s guidance of the possible impact these patches may have.
Microsoft isn’t saying much about what these patches fix but it is advising that these bulletins will likely require a restart.
