AdRem Software launches MyNet Toolset, a free network scanning and troubleshooting tool.
AdRem Software this week decided to use the holiday season to offer existing and new customers a free network scanning and troubleshooting tool.

MyNet Toolset is a free application that can be downloaded by both business and home users, according to AdRem, because it scans the local network and presents the discovered nodes in a graphical network map. Among the details included in the map are IP address, MAC address, DNS name, location, node name and type. The software also provides information such aswhat operating systems and network servics are running on the nodes, the company reports.
AdRem representatives say the map can be used by IT managers or home to start diagnostic and troubleshooting tasks on local networks. Also the software is designed to help IT managers use the right tool for the right job. According to the vendor, MyNet Toolset was designed to be a “multiple network tool organizre” and “by right-clicking on the selected node, you can run the selected tool.”
