As the end of the month approaches, details regarding the latest and greatest from Apple are trickling in with ever increasing frequency. One of the more recent reports comes courtesy of the Wall Street Journal which writes, citing sources familiar with Apple, that Apple will begin shipping a “10 to 11-inch” tablet device towards the end of March. The WSJ generally has a spotless track record when it comes to all things Apple (because Apple is often their source), so this latest tidbit suggests that earlier reports of a 7-inch tablet were inaccurate.
On a related note, the often reliable French Mac site Mac4ever recently reported that Apple will also its January media event to introduce a beta version of the iPhone SDK 4.0. Interestingly, the SDK will reportedly also include a “simulator” for developers to help them adapt their iPhone apps for varying screen resolutions. Also of note is a report which circulated a few days before New Years stating that Apple had already begun instructing certain iPhone developers to prepare their apps for a public demo of the what can only be described as the mythical Apple tablet.
