The Account configuration page of the subscriber templates can be used to lock the TUI access of a Unity subscriber or to configure the billing ID of a subscriber. The billing subscriber ID can be used in Unity subscriber reports. PASSWORDS The passwords configuration of the subscriber template is as follows: • User cannot change password • User must change password at next login • Password never expires • Phone password for new subscribers (default from UTIM password hardening wizard) • Windows password for new Windows account (default from UTIM password hardening wizard) CONVERSATION The conversation options of the subscriber template are very extensive. Subscribers have access to many of these options in the Cisco Unity Assistant web pages. The conversation options are as follows: • Menu Style o Full or Brief • Language (English by default) o Options dependent upon licensed languages • Time Format o 12 or 24 hour. System default is 12 hour • Conversation style o Standard Conversation (default) o Alternate Keypad Mapping (N) – For Intuity system replacements o Alternate Keypad Mapping (S) – For Serenade system replacements o Alternate Keypad Mapping (X) – For Audix system replacements o Custom Keypad Mapping – Administrator defined o Custom Keypad Mapping 2 – Administrator defined o Custom Keypad Mapping 3 – Administrator defined o Hospitality Conversation o Optional Conversation 1 Conversation styles allow the administrator to change the TUI mapping keys to align the new Cisco Unity voicemail system with the system that Cisco Unity is replacing. • Allow access to voice recognition features (turned off by default) o Use press-or-say phone input style (includes voice addressing) • Conversation styles offered in Cisco Unity Assistant – same extensive options as conversation styles on previous page. • Responding to Phone Menus – Cisco Unity has various tuning options regarding the timeout parameters when menus are played to subscribers using the system. The system wide parameters are configured on the system configuration pages, but these parameters can be tuned on a subscriber template or subscriber basis. • When exiting the conversation: Send subscriber to (Call Handler) -> Opening Greeting After exiting the Unity system, subscribers will be sent to the automated attendant (AA) opening greeting. Alternatively, the subscriber can be sent to one of the various locations: o Broadcast Message Administrator o CVM Mailbox Reset o Call handler – click the Select Call Handler button to search for call handler o Caller System Transfer o Directory handler – click the Select Directory Handler button to search for directory handler o Greetings Administrator o Hang up o Hotel Checked Out o Interview handler – Select Interview Handler o Sign-in o Subscriber – click Select Subscriber button for individual subscriber o Subscriber System Transfer The numbers of subscriber template options are so extensive, that it deserves multiple blog entries.
