I received a few emails from Guru.com of which I signed up for about 6 months ago. I thought it would be a good idea to sign up and respond to customers who needed expert help. I received the first email and I have copied parts of it below, this was for Cisco Certifications. Companies are back at it and now using Guru.com to tell people that they will pay to use your certifications.

The next email I received was for a company who needed to fill Microsoft Certifications, below are parts of that email.

I wrote about Cisco Gold Partners just using people for certifications by hiring and firing them or just having people take tests, now it has come to this on Guru. The major vendors are never going to fix this issue unless they stop doing once a year renewals and have surprise audits for all gold partners. This would stop the hiring people for certifications and firing them after you pass your audit.
I know of one partner in my area, who just went through this to renew their gold certification, the question will be how many people will be there in another month or two?
But the question I would ask our readers, how many companies call you to hire you just for your certifications? Do you have a horror story of being hired, having to sign a non-compete and then getting fired no to long after the audit?
Is it right for these companies to post for certifications on Guru.com and be so straight foreword about it? What should the manufacturers do about this or will they do nothing?
