Cisco developing own blade server, will compete against IBM, HP

Jim Duffy’s analysis of Cisco’s data center moves is much more complete, but one of the striking items he discusses is Cisco’s internally developed blade server, which is slated to debut in 2009, according to sources. Cisco has been branching out for some time, but the introduction of an actual blade server would be an industry-shattering move.
