Ferris Research emphatically asserts that spam is being beaten. More futuristically, the same blog post says that immortality is becoming a realistic technological possibility.
Well, my three main email addresses have 30-day spam folders with 5399, 591, and 490 entries respectively. And about 1 in 100 of those promises me “The Secret of Immortality”. I’m just sayin’ …
Seriously, blog comment spam is a bigger problem for me these days than email spam. Ditto Twitter spam, although that gets converted into email. And neither tends to offer amusements like (to pick one that wasn’t on my prior list):
