Could Obama pluck Cisco’s CTO to be his own?

BusinessWeek is reporting that according to its sources Padmasree Warrior, Cisco’s CTO, is on a very short list of candidates for President-elect Obama’s choice as the first federal CTO. Padmasree announced her resignation from Motorola as its CTO in December 2007 and then joined Cisco as its top techie. She was at Motorola for more than 20 years. Obama is expected to announce his pick within a matter of days, BusinessWeek’s sources say.
