Office Communications Server R2 has been officially released – the Virtual Launch for OCS was Tuesday Feb 3, 2009 (if you want more information about the OCS R2 Virtual Launch, see Alex Lewis’ excellent post at: http://www.networkworld.comhttps://www.networkworld.com//community/node/38137 for more information and links to documentation – check it out). There are two certification tests – yes tests for OCS: the 70-638 TS test and the 088-924 Partner Competency. The 70-638 certification test for Office Communication Server has been updated to R2. The other certification test associated with OCS is the Exam 088-924: Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 – Unified Communication Voice Specialization. This exam is focused more on the voice side of OCS rather than conferencing or IM. Both the 70-638 and 088-924 exams are required as part of the requirements for the Microsoft Unified Communications Solutions Competency.
