Some cool new features in OpsMgr 2007 R2

It’s been well publicized that the R2 release of OpsMgr 2007 will include Unix/Linux management, fully integrated into the product. A number of other enhancements are also being added. If you are attending MMS, come to session SU20 – Getting involved in the Operations Manager MVP Community – to meet some of the OpsMgr MVPs and hear us discuss the following new features:

  • New URL monitoring and its improved scalability
  • New and updated templates like OLE DB and Processing Monitoring and NT Service
  • Service Level Tracking
  • Report Object Picker Improvements
  • MP download from the Operations console
  • Unix/Linux Management
  • Improved “one-step” Maintenance Mode
  • Right-Click alert notification subscriptions
