Cyber integration of acquired maker of set top boxes
Cisco announced this week that it is migrating the majority of content from Scientific-Atlanta’s Web site to Cisco’s Web site. Cisco acquired the maker of cable set top boxes in 2006 for $6.9 billion to enter into the digital home entertainment market.
URLs to and on the Scientific-Atlanta page will be redirected to a new landing page, Cisco said in an e-mail notice on the move. The new page will contain links to prior SA sites for service and support, products and solutions, distributors, employment opportunities and community relations.
Authorized users can still access the secure SA extranet for users guides and technical documents using existing URLs, Cisco says.
