IDEs now can support Web browser application debugging, profiling, simulation

RIM has released plug-ins for two popular integrated development platforms, Eclipse and Microsoft Visual Studio, to improve development of browser-based applications for BlackBerry smartphones.

Details of the release and the downloads are available on the RIM site.

Using the plugin, developers can use their native IDE UI to debug Web projects, and view the content of XMLHttpRequest requests and response data, as well as view data traffic. The plug-in also provides reporting of time-to-load for Web content.
