* Patch Tuesday in June addresses security issues across its product line
Earlier this week — as has become standard operating procedure on the second Tuesday of each month — Microsoft rolled out its monthly batch of patches that address security issues across its product line.
All told, Microsoft released six sets of security updates, fixing a total of 15 flaws in its Windows, Internet Explorer and SSL software used for secure Web browsing.
Four of these updates have been deemed critical by industry security experts and are advising IT administrators to patch them as soon as possible. According to one news analysis story first posted on sister IDG publication Computerworld, those same security professionals don’t quite see eye to eye on which of the critical patches should be distributed first.
