endif; ?>Phishing and flooding and hijacking, oh my!
Data backup and recovery may be basic, but it’s still making the news.
Last week , Network World Senior Editor Deni Connor detailed how Symantec is releasing Veritas Backup Reporter, a tool that lets IT administrators view backup and recovery operations and provides the data by which administrators can analyze costs and levy departmental chargeback fees. This week, we reported that an exploit was posted targeting a known vulnerability in CA’s popular BrightStor ARCServe Backup software, which provides data backup and restore for a variety of operating systems including Windows, NetWare, Linux, Unix, and Mac.
Every week, Network World’s Backup and Recovery Buyer’s Guide provides a one-stop shop where IT buyers can find detailed information on available products in this space and do side-by-side comparisons on how they stand up against each other in terms of features, performance claims and supported platforms. Currently, this Buyer’s Guide contains more than two dozen product listings and has direct links back to the results of Network World’s most recent product reviews pertaining to those products.
