In this issue I’d like to point you to our latest resource, where we collect the best of Cisco-related news stories and blogs from around the Web and present them on one page.
I know what you’re thinking. Something along the lines of, “Aw, geez, not more self-promoting claptrap!” But I know the people who put a lot of effort into this, and I feel the effort has paid off. I hope you like it.
It’s called Cisco Subnet, and you can get to it via ciscosubnet.com, or you can go directly to the page on our site.
In addition to the news and opinions, you’ll see on the right-hand side we have the latest security alerts from Cisco, as well as its latest stock info, press releases, and some resources on cisco.com that our editors thought interesting.
While the page is heavily focused on Cisco, it was also created and is maintained completely independent of that company. I’m not even sure they know about it.
A major thrust of Cisco Subnet is to build a community of Cisco users. Heck, Network World readers are already a community, many of whose members use Cisco products. Cisco Subnet is intended as a place where issues about the company or its products can be discussed.
Our editors are reaching out to Cisco user groups, and you’ll see the first one profiled at the lower right.
