RSA chief didn’t drop hints about blockbuster deal with EMC
RSA Security CEO Art Coviello has some poker face. Just two days before his company agreed to a $2.1 billion buyout by EMC, he gave a keynote address at the Red Herring East conference in Cambridge, Mass., and answered questions while on center stage about RSA’s performance and future. He never let on that the company might be headed for a buyout, and instead talked about RSA’s own recent acquisitions and his efforts to bring the $300 million company to the $500 million and then $1 billion level by exploiting the growing demand for security products.
