Yesterday there was apparently a clearance sale on networking vendors. HP picked up both Peregrine Systems and AppIQ to help fill out its management line. After eBay took Skype, Avaya snapped up fellow VoIP vendor Nimcat. And Microsoft got further into identity management with Alacris.
