* Current whitepapers at NetworkWorld.com
One of our more popular newsletters is the Whitepapers Download Newsletter, which as you can imagine links to whitepapers on our site. Whitepapers are, of course, produced by vendors – but just because the information is biased doesn’t mean it’s not useful.
With that in mind, here are some of our current whitepapers and other vendor resources related to LANs.
Our LANs/Routers whitepapers can be found here:

On that page right now there is “The Future of 10G Applications and The Implications for Your Network,” a paper from cabling provider Systimax that goes into what you need to do to plan for coming bandwidth needs. It describes the applications that are likely to trigger bandwidth upgrades, then talks about the infrastructure technologies themselves. Great thing about the whitepaper is that no registration is required.
Also on that whitepaper page is “A New Dimension in IT Infrastructure Management: Integrated KVM and Serial Console Control Systems” that Raritan commissioned research firm IDC to produce for those who are interested in keyboard-video-mouse management tools. As the description says, the paper “explores the benefits of integrated KVM and serial console tools that reduce complexity and downtime while increasing productivity and ROI.” Registration is required.
Another vendor-sponsored resource is a Webcast on troubleshooting wireless LANs. This comes from Fluke Networks, and registration is required on this one, too. This is an area that a lot of companies are trying to get their arms around as they deploy more WLANs. You can go straight to the Webcast at:
